Truffle Launch at Amelia’s Chocolate
On 16th May I was invited to the Truffle Launch at Amelia’s Chocolate in 
Scarborough. Amelia opened her shop in 2013 is always reinventing her products, workshops and chocolate parties. Now Amelia has branched out into the luxury market with a range of truffles.
Initially Amelia has launched a range of 6 beautifully flavoured truffles. She has a view to add limited edition flavours to tie in with key holidays and celebrations. Beautifully presented in brand new packaging each box of truffles has it’s own index card letting you know what delicious flavours are inside.
The Truffles
Having had the opportunity to try all of the new truffles I can safely say that my favourite was the Milk Chocolate Orange Truffle. Closely followed by the Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Truffle which oozed caramel. Both had a delicious flavoursome balanced truffle centre, then delicately enrobed in Belgian chocolate.
The truffles are all hand crafted by Amelia in her production room in the centre of the shop on Victoria Road. Here you can peer through the plexiglass window and see her hard at work. The ganache fillings are carefully created using the perfect balance of flavours. The Coffee Truffle has local provenance with the coffee coming from Baytown Coffee who roast their coffee beans just up the Yorkshire Coast in Robin Hoods Bay. The truffles are then either hand dipped or rolled, enveloping them in rich Belgian chocolate.
Chocolate bars
During the Truffle launch at Amelia’s Chocolate we were also introduced to a new range of chocolate bars. Furthermore these bars were finished in brand new packaging to match the Truffles. Amelia has created an interesting new range of chocolate bars. White and Milk Chocolate bars are studded with popping candy which the youngsters love. Floral tastes come in the guise of Milk Chocolate bars finished with either Violet or Rose. Nut lovers can enjoy a Milk or Dark Chocolate Praline finished with a gold shimmer. Finally my favourite a chunky Dark Chocolate Orange bar.
The new truffles and bars are an noteworthy addition to the current offerings from Amelia’s Chocolate. Customers are able purchase tradition chocolate bars and drops, subscribe to a monthly postal box of delicious chocolates, have a birthday party or even a team building workshop.
